Uganda being a developing country is associated with a lot of problems like illiteracy, high unemployment levels, prostitution, Inadequate access to safe water, inadequate access to sanitation, infrastructure, Insecure residential status, Poor quality housing, pollution, crime, drug abuse, alcoholism, high HIV/AIDS prevalence and among others. However the majority of these Slums are in the centre of Kampala City and some of these major slums in Kampala are within the areas of ssBwaise, Kivulu, Katwe, Kosovo, Katanga, Kasubi, kasanvu, Kisenyi , Ki-mombasa and many others With adequate knowledge about the City and its Slums, we have identified some problems faced by people living in these Slums which when solved will help in securing lives of many different people found in these areas, like Child education, lack of medical care, and high unemployment levels with a majority of parents lacking jobs, hence no money to support their Families. Through your help and support to these communities we are able to address most of the major problems by providing Safe Clean water, education, Medical Care and also supporting different families through providing different projects and advise that can generate income to improve their standards of living. We provide a free slum walk tour every Sunday and you are given an opportunity to come into direct contact with the affected communities and Families in these Slum and provide them with any basic necessities that you and they may need.Travel for Charity
Thus bringing about Slums in different urban centres throughout the Country; Slums are simply heavily populated urban suburbs with substandard housing facilities and low standards of living that have brought about inadequate support to many Families.
